This is so good, something I'm learning is; It's important to not worry about what people or critics says about your work, you should only hope for them to consume it. It's not your job grade or reject your work, your job is to create and share it to the world.

Hi Marc, I LOVE this post. Such an important idea to grasp and connect with. We talk with our students at Harvey Mudd a lot about developing a Prototyping Mindset. Embracing failure is one of the most important things to learn.

Your point about making failures smaller and reframing what it actually means to fail is also very powerful.

One phrase I learned this summer from Josh Linkner that has stuck with me ever since is "The optimal number of failures is not zero." I wrote a bit about it here: https://joshbrake.substack.com/p/the-optimal-number-of-failures-is-not-zero.
